Hey Friend.

As the year and the decade comes to a close, on behalf of CHLY 101.7FM, I want to wish you a happy 2020!

2019 was a pretty great year for us with our inaugural workshop series, new staff (shoutout to James Kasper) and volunteers joining us, a super fun Summer Radio Camp for kids, daily news updates, and the start of our VIU Student Collectives (Go Cass, Maya, Matthew, Kaylie, and Melika!). We also received thoughtful feedback with our 2019 Listener Survey and were delighted to hear your kind words on our answering machine for our first Listener Un-Drive! You like us. You really do like us!

So the decade is ending on a not-too-shabby note for us, with increased secured funding and resources for the station, which is all thanks to you our dedicated listeners. I cannot overstate how your support has allowed us to pursue bigger projects to grow and improve the station. 

2020 is already looking bright because of that support you give! I wish I could tell you now, but suffice to say we have some exciting announcements coming for early 2020 that will make a big impact on our station.
