Malaspina Choir turns 50 in 2020 and we’re starting off our golden anniversary year with a choral celebration in November.

Our fall concert is a romp through four centuries of choral music from Vivaldi to Whitacre. This program is vintage Malaspina Choir, reflecting the full range of the choral repertoire from folk to classical, and showcases the vocal talent of 11 of our choir members as soloists.

Besides our accomplished accompanist Cheryl Satre, we will also welcome our friends from the Nanaimo music community, the Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra, organist Jenny Vincent and cellist Brendan Millbank.

This is an exciting start to the celebration of the choir’s half-century of bringing the best of choral music to Nanaimo and Vancouver Island. Come join us for this special occasion!
