We love Christmas and all the sparkle and joy that comes with it. Magical and exciting, no matter your age. Kris Kringle Craft Market is the first gift of the holiday season. It is a favourite event for many people across Vancouver Island and beyond like a shooting star guiding the Christmas season. This "Miracle at Beban Park" runs from November 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th at Nanaimo's Beban Park Community Centre. The first 100 customers each day receives a $5 Tim-bits card from Tim Horton’s! The whole place is taken over by the Kris Kringle Krew; food, fun, entertainment, and over 150 vendors! Part of the miracle and magic during Kris Kringle is the fundraiser that we are so proud to be part of! For the last few years, we have worked with Westjet to raise money for the ‘Help Fill A Dream Foundation’. Putting a smile on the face of a child is a magical feeling. When a child is diagnosed with a life-threatening condition a family’s focus becomes their child, their medical appointments and treatment; there’s no time for anything else. ‘Help Fill a Dream Foundation’ has been supporting those families from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands whose lives have suddenly changed due to their child’s diagnosis. Kris Kringle Craft Market and Westjet are so proud to support this amazing foundation.
The Kringle core team of characters that make Kris Kringle possible are on hand. There’s Kris Kringle himself, the benevolent Father of the whole Kringle family, and not to be overlooked, the nemesis Gringle. There are also elves of course, lots and lots of elves and gringlettes. The market also features roaming entertainers and a variety of activities for families including photos with Kris Kringle by the gifted photographer, Lisa Petterson. Hearthstone Bakery has 1,000 Gingerbread Men cookies to be decorated for the 12 and under …yummy into the tummy !!
