World VIU Days is a week-long annual event about exploring how culture influences the way we understand the world.
This year, the focus is on creating a connected community by showcasing efforts that students, staff and faculty are making to grow social connections between people from different cultural backgrounds.
This week is a collection of Workshops, Performances, Panel Discussion, and a Pub Night!
Monday features: DJ All Good at 5 pm in B300 RAR: Healing Through Hip Hop
Tuesday is The Culture Couch: Turntablism with DJ All Good at 5 pm in B255 1st floor. This is an intro to Turntablism.
Wednesday, an appearance by Waahli at 12 pm. This is a performance in the Main Cafeteria.
Thursday there will be a Panel Discussion at 4:30 pm with Waahli, Tonye, and DJ All Good, and is moderated by Dr. Paul Watkins. Do The Right Thing screening to follow!
Of course, The Student Union Pub is also having their Global Groove Concert which features Hip Hop Cypher music with Waahli, Tonye, and DJ All Good as well! This starts at 9 pm
Friday will be a performance by Tonye Aganaba at 12 pm in the Main Cafeteria
