BBC Newshour and other spring schedule changes
Now airing at noon Monday through Friday.
Listener, you may have noticed some changes on our airwaves as of last April 1st with BBC Newshour now airing during our noon-hour Monday through Friday. This follows our station having aired the program at 6AM since November 2024. This midday airing presents our listeners another opportunity to catch an updated edition over lunch, if they hadn’t caught the 6AM edition.
We are currently experiencing some small technical issues with the broadcast, but these should ideally be resolved within the next week.
With this change, we’ve shifted some of our programming, seen some programs end, and seen new programming start. See below for the changes.
April 1st changes
BBC Newshour
Monday to Friday. BBC News Hour will now run at noon.
The Canadian Philosophy Show
Monday. Previously at noon, this will run from 2PM to 3PM.
People First Radio (Encore)
Monday. Will go on a temporary hiatus and will return in June.
Folks Around & Find Out
Monday. This new folk music program with host Molly Blaize will air at 5PM-6PM.
Words & Music
Monday. This new program with host Rich Allen will air at 6PM-7PM. Coming mid-April.
Midday Mozart
Tuesday. Previously at noon, this will now run from 1PM to 3PM, back to a 2 hour format.
Synaesthetics
Tuesday. Hosted by Erin O’Brien, and Kristjanne Vosper. Coming soon in April.
Routes & Branches & Beyond
Wednesday. Previously at noon, this will now run from 1PM to 2PM where Harbinger Showcase currently airs.
Harbinger Showcase
Wednesday. Previously at 1PM, this will now run Friday from 11AM to 12PM.
People First Radio (Original Broadcast)
Thursday. Previously at noon, this will now run from 1PM to 2PM.
Radio Ecoshock
Thursday. Previously at 2PM, this will no longer be syndicated. Listeners can find the podcast version here.
Jazz Boulevard
Friday. Previously at noon, this program will move to Saturdays from 10AM to noon.
The Sweet Spot
Saturday. This program will move to Friday from 1PM to 3PM.

Wednesdays. Hosted by the Witster this program moves to Wednesdays at 10PM.
Thrashcan
Thursdays. This syndicated music program with host Sebastian Soble airs Thursdays at 10PM.
Orangebench Radio
Saturday. This program with host Dr. Poteryko is on hiatus until the fall of 2026.
